Kirrrrrby Puckett

There is, in everyone's lifetime, a person or athlete that exemplifies greatness. To me that person is Kirby Puckett. As reported, Sunday he suffered a stroke at his Scottsdale, AZ home, he is 44 years old. As of 1:00pm he is in critical condition at a hospital in Arizona.

As one of the greatest World Series ever played, it will be Puckett carrying the Twins, who were on the brink of elimination, in game 6; single handedly winning that game for the Twins. We will always remember Pucketts contagious smile, his laughter, or his hard play and dedicated team work and his awesome leaping catches that still to this day, give me shivers to hear John Gordon or Herb Carnel making the call. A player who could have made millions more for a big market team, stayed loyal to the team that brought him to the majors. MN and I especially will be grateful for all the great memories. Puck, my prayers are with you, get better. Baseball needs you around for many more years!
