Al-Zarqwi, the leader of Al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed yesterday in an air strike by U.S Forces. It is days like this when I am proud to be an American, I am proud of our President and most of all, I most proud of our troops fighting for freedom.
But of course, you'll hear the typical nay-sayers. Zarqwi's death doesn't mean anything, the insurgents will still be out killing our troops, they'll get behind new leader. Yes, that may be true, but it also sets the insurgents back. They are, and I suspect will be, more disorganized and that will cause problems. It is also a huge morale boost for our troops who have been under fire from the left in this country.
It will also help the President and the message that we are WINNING the war on terror.
God Bless the USA!
