I don't have inside knowledge of the Pioneer Press's business decision, but this tid bit from the most left paper I "pruse", City Pages, is a breath of fresh air, at least in my mind.

To the Pi Press, AMEN! There is a reason I subscribe to your paper!

Liberal Misery- Continued

From my political mentor and the man who got me interested enough to get into politics. Rush's right about the libs, they are a miserable bunch.

Proof- Democrats cause depression!

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/12/28/051228190739.qe5i1v2b.html

(It's because of the Democrats! Seriously, read the article and the people they list tend to vote heavily Democrat).

Is there a happy Democrat in the house?

If there is a happy Democrat out there, please let me know? Seriously, the pessimism that spews from the left is depressing... BE HAPPY ABOUT SOMETHING! No wonder so many of us are on anti-depressants, we have to listen to the libs day in and day out.

Anyway, I would love to hear from a Democrat who actually (this may cause you to be thrown out of the party) thinks things are going well in this country, state, city, etc....

This is getting very serious. Another leak of highly sensitive national security information. Heads should roll if they ever find who leaked this information. They should be charged with espionage and treason; their citizenship stripped away from them and exported out of the country.

Let's see if Congress steps up to the plate on this and investigates these leaks. I highly doubt they will.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I want to wish everyone, including atheists (Michael Newdow); America haters (the Democratic Party); and everyone who is easily offended by the words and actions of SOMEONE ELSE, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A letter to my wife

CONGRATULATIONS on your new job!!!

I love you and wish you the best.

Yours

New name, same game!

Today, I officially change my user name. I am NOW WIGOP13. This reflects my move to Wisconsin in September (a move I love!!!). I will be steadily catching up on WI politics, so be patient as I learn more.

We will now be covering WI, MN and national political issues and topics.

I'll tell you though, I already enjoy living in a state that appears to be more conservative than its western neighbor.

Why Gas Costs $3.00 a gallon in WI

I recently read that the "great" Governor of Wisconsin has issued a subpoena to the executives of "Big Oil" demanding answers on why Wisconsinites paid almost $3.00 a gallon in the wake of Hurricane Katrina followed by "Big Oil" recording record profits. When I read this I cursed a naughty word out of frustration.... I should issue a subpoena to the Governor demanding to know why he is wasting my tax dollars on something so ridiculous... and besides, isn't or hasn't Congress already held hearings of executives of "Big Oil".

I may be a simpleton and not understand the intricacies of policy and policy making, but I know common sense (something ALL liberals lack; maybe we need to create a new program in the Dept of Ed and send our tax dollars to teach Libs common sense?).

So, when the gas tax is indexed for inflation and has a natural adjustment built-in wouldn't that cause gas prices to be higher? (I would like to know why my hometown of Durand is an average of $.10 higher on gas costs than the other part of the Chippewa Valley/West Central WI?- Gov. can I subpoena you on this?)

The second point that needs to be made is a basic economic lesson in supply and demand. When there is a greater demand for a good/service and supply decreases price will increase. More will be willing to more pay to have that good or service. And the opposite is true, when supply increases and demand drops, a company will lower price to bring in consumers. My explanation is very simple, that is why I linked to Wikipedia. After Katrina, supply was disrupted thus prices increased. About a month/month and a half after Katrina I was paying $1.93 (note, in MN NOT WISCONSIN!) a gallon. Demand was reduced, supply up and prices fell.

Lastly, isn't it possible (100% likely) that policy decisions are the factor behind the profits? Let's say environmental policy dictates no new refineries, no new drilling in the Gulf or ANWAR, etc... So these companies get their revenues, pay their current expenses, and then the profits are there with no where to reinvest it because of gov't policies. Thus, these companies, who can't explore for more oil or build new factories have large profits.

So, if the Governor wants to question gas prices, maybe he should look at state/federal policy instead. This is too important of an issue to be playing deflect the blame game or election year politics on. Fess up that the state/federal policy is bad policy... you'll gain a lot more respect.

9-11 Commission (i.e JOKE and a FRAUD!)

Here is my opinion, if I was a terrorist, I would love the 9-11 Commission and its follow-up committee. Let's just invite the wackos to our country and invite another attack. This week, a report was issued by these... um, well... no... "this committee" that gives the U.S. a "F" in many areas of national security and in protecting against another terrorist strike. So these experts want to let the bad guys (yes libs, these people are bad; maybe we need to watch out for the members of the Democratic party) know what, if really any (when was the last attack on U.S. soil?), holes in security are. I am curious what grades we would have seen in the days of Billy Boy and his lust...sorry bad choice of words desire to create a "legacy".

I just want to add that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! It's time to move on and stop putting our country at greater risk by exposing security "soft spots".

Iran.... Nuked or be Nuked

So, our "friends" the Russians have sold Iran, "NOT OUR FRIENDS" something around $18 billion dollars worth of short range missiles. From the reports I have read, they did not list how short range these missiles could travel. Though, I strongly suspect that they could be used against Americans in Iraq or against our true friends the Israelis or any other American interest in the region. The Jerusalem Post reported that the IAEA's Muhamed el-Baradei claims Iran is only months away from a atomic bomb. (As I tried to open the link I emailed, I got an error so I apologize for not linking to the article). Then in Wednesday's Jerusalem Post, el-Baradei claims that the IAEA has found no "smoking gun" that Iran is manufacturing nuclear weapons. Of course the article states that the IAEA failed to detect Iran's undisclosed nuclear program for 18 YEARS! Doesn't the fact the IAEA head tells us Iran could develop weapons in months and now no "smoking gun" raise an alarm? It scares me to death. Iran is so secretive and unpredictable. Even more disturbing is the fact the IAEA missed Iran's activity for 18 YEARS....

Any event, Iran should be near the top of U.S Foreign policy. An attack or development of weapons in the region can ruin all the progress made in Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel/Palestinian conflict.

I'm Back....

Well, it has been 11 months since I last was on. In that time, I decided to run for state representative (MPLS 58A), decided NOT to run and instead move to WI and luckly for my family and I, this happened!

I hope to have time to start this blog again. There is so much liberal lies going on out there, that we need to really expose them for the lying liars they are and bring forth the truth.

Over the next few weeks I hope to lay out the truth behind the Libby indictment; the Wilson-Plame set-up (yes, this is the grandest of set-ups to destroy a president); and the claim that the Bush administration lied us into war.

Stay tuned!

Hello

Well, I have entered the bloggosphere! Thanks to the pioneers before me who have sparked my interest in blogging. A special thanks to the fine folks over at Powerline.com and to Hugh Hewitt.

So, what is this blog about. Well, like so many others, this will be to set the truth straight about the liberal democrat's (are there any NON-Liberals Democrats out there???) lies, half-wit claims, and ridiculous accusations. To expose their hypocrisy, to point out their lies, and to RUB IT IS THEIR FACES every time they cry and moan like little babies when they lose an election and "CLAIM" not to know why.... I mean really.......!!

Stay tune to some interesting topics ahead!
